error in compiling source file of converted s5 program

lambertws Posts: 58 Rating: (0)	I try to re-convert after generating the .INI file (after opening the project via STEP5 program). The problem are mostly disappeaar. However it is still there for MUL:16 and DIV:16 function. It is converted from FB 242 and FB 243 to FC 83 and FC 84. The message now are E Ln 005396 Col 009: No PLC type description found for called or addressed block FC 84. W Ln 005396 Col 009: No valid offline ASCII type description found for called or addressed block FC 84. E Ln 005396 Col 025: Invalid operation for Z_1. for each calling of FC 83 and FC 84. lambertws Posts: 58 Rating: (0)	Thanks Late for the response. I have done that. However, my problem was, the compiling of the source file is not working when I had the problem. As the result, the blocks were not in the folder. I think the error messages appeared because the FC83 and FC84 were not in the source. Therefore, I tried to create some lines about dummy initialisation of the FCs. Compile it, and the error messages disappear. Then, I change the FCs with the ones from the library. Hopefully it will work. I have not tested it to my client machine. Regards, Lambert

DolaMam Experienced Member Joined: 6/22/2009 Last visit: 6/6/2025 Posts: 63 Rating: (3)	You can simply omit the MUL:16 and DIV:16 blocks. In the conversionAWL file, use the *I and /I commands instead. Compile. It cleans up the program too.
