Hello Dear friends,

I have a CPU315F-2DP, and several signal modules connected to an IM151 (ET200 S); one of these modules is 4/8 F-DI DC24V (6ES7 138-4FA02-0AB0).

My problem:

One error occurred on the module 4/8 F-DI DC24V and then the SF led on this module became on. 

I have checked the F-DI module DB parameters, and the parameters Pass_Out and Qbad have the value "1". i tried to depassivate the module (Ack-Nec and Ack-rei =1), but i couldn't; because the error didn't removed. 

I have replaced the F-DI (faulty) module with the new one with the same order number. but i didn't have any fault and the module works good. 

My question:

How can i be sure that the faulty F-DI module in passivated or, it has malfunction and must be replaced at all?

what error occured? Have you had a look in the module-diagnostics?

it is possible that some errors also occure when the module is defect.

have a look in the manual, chapter 7.5.9:

SIMATIC Distributed I/O System Fail-Safe Engineering ET 200S Distributed I/O System

When you cange the module and the other module works without problems, I would also assume a defect.
