I have a sensor from s::can (www.s-can.at) which is connectet to a can::cube.

The can::cube is able to "talk" Profibus with a compatible fieldbus interface (IEC 61158).

So far so good... I can find the "map" showing where to find status and values for connected sensors, but:

Does anybody know where to find either a GSD-file for can::cube or where to find a standard-communication for such in the TIA Hardware catalog?

what Siemens PLC you have? con::cube also support MB RTU/TCP and have Ethernet port (what I saw from doc).

The device PDF recommends an accessory to enable what you seem to seek:

If you do not have this, you may need it.  Also, the solution you seek will be on s-can.at web site or by contacting their support.  Once you get the above accessory, it should either come with a disk containing the gsd, or a download link to it, or something similar.

I allready have components on Profibus and on Profinet, and I dont have extra "contacts" if I also should create a Modbus TCP network (or Modbus RTU).

I have now recieved a GSD-file from "device supplier".

Unfortunately, it did not appear to be installable. I hope I will receive a better one soon. :-)

Please explain what happens when you attempt to add the GSD to your project?

What version of TIA Portal are you using, and what PLC?

Unfortunately, it did not appear to be installable. I hope I will receive a better one soon. :-)

They asked me to rename the GSD file to concube.gsd instead of Profibus_8.gsd. Then it worked. Strange, but nice to have an istallable file.
