Hi!

I'm working on a project that is on need of little i/o logic and touch panel. I have some hardware on my stock. ET200S im151-3 and io cards for that, and tp700 comfort panel. They both have profinet. Do i need additional cpu for those two to communicate. Or can they communicate without cpu between?

Which component should run your SW?

you always need a CPU therefore.

Your components are just decentral peripherie to extend the CPUs functionalty by IOs.
