S7-400h SYSTEM FAULT PROBLEM

The old system was consisted of 412-3HJ14-0AB0CPUs F.W.V4.5 and the new CPUs are 412-5HK06-0AB0 F.W.V6.0 . I have just replaced the old cpus with the new. I make all the port address same as the old. Then i downloaded the program along with the new hardware configuration in the H cpus. But after power up the new cpu showing fault. The MAINT & REDF LED is glowing on the master CPU and REDF & EXTF LED In the other cpu. After power up the system runs for 30 secs in solo mode then stops. I attached the old and new hw config, new cpu diagnostic buffer and the LED status during new hardware fault. The old cpus are also showing REDF fault sometimes and needed to be reset or power OFF-->ON. But the new hardware is not working anyway. Please help me out. Waiting for feedback. Thanks In advance. hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 10/26/2024 Posts: 6852 Rating: (1365)	Dear user, Follow these steps to solve your problem: The link up is cancelled due to difference in FW version of both CPUs.Check if they are both V6.00.04.Remove DP slaves from your project and download the program.Test the CPUs if they can enter to the redundant mode.Be sure if Flash memories are identical in content,correct rack switch and FW versions.If versions are different , search the SIOS for upgrade/downgrade files and procedure. If you passed the 1st step without error, add slaves , download and test. If the passed the 2nd, download the user programs. More can be found on S7 Fault tolerant Automation systems. You are right One of the new cpu is FWV 6.0.4 and the other one is FWV6.0.6. Will you Please help me with how to update the firmware version of the downgraded CPU? can i update the firmware without creating a card?

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 10/26/2024 Posts: 6852 Rating: (1365)	For newer CPUs , it is possible to update both via flash memory and the Hw.Config.You will find more in the following link: Operating system updates V6 CPU412-5H PN/DP, CPU414-5H PN/DP, CPU416-5H PN/DP, CPU417-5H PN/DP Please, read the instruction carefully. Do the task with care if it is your first time.Do it when machine is out of service. It is recommended to use the latest for both I hope it helps, hdhosseini

I have updated the Firmware Version of the Cpu 6.0.4 ti 6.0.6. now the two cpu has same firmware version 6.0.6. But the problem is still there. i have attached the present module information and hardware configuration of the project. For an H-CPU there are certain OBs that should exist to avoid CPU entering the STOP mode.Please,include all in your program.You can search THIS manual for more information. There is a simple instruction to set up the entire H-system in page #40 of THIS manual.For your test, include an OB1, error OBs , delete all external I/Os and set correct rack number.In the first step you can remove Flash cards on the CPU for simplicity (when each CPU is in STOP or off). If any problem exists , please share the diag buffer of each CPU in text format. I hope it helps, hdhosseini

I mean if you give me instructions regarding how to configure the hardware it will be a great help. d what OBs i should put in the program, it will be a great help. I formatted both the memory card with simatic USB Prommer 6ES7792-0AA00-0XA0. then I inserted the blank MMC in the CPU slot and write the program on the memory card. now the system is running successfully.
