Just sending some value word to the I/O address may be not helpful, as for example Bit 10 of word 1 needs to be sent to the drive, otherwise it will not receive anything. That's what the SINA_POS block is doing automatically. So I would suggest to use the block if you haven't done so far. And of course ChristophD is right. If the drive generates alarms due to some parameters you need to resolve those errors in your project. Does the drive operate with control panel in Starter? Which errors do you get? (error number and error value)

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 9/15/2025 Posts: 6040 Rating: (828)	Hello, if you just want to control the axis with a speed setpoint and you don't want to do any positioning etc. I would suggest to simply use standard telegram 1 and use the SINA_SPEED block in the PLC. This is the easiest way of controlling an axis just to turn with a certain velocity. And then you only need the advanced setpoint channel (function module) to have a ramp function generator for your speed. The other ones are not necessary then. But first please try to run the motor with the control panel in Starter. As long as this doesn't work, you don't need to set up the communication to the PLC. If there are errors you can share those error numbers here in the forum to find out why your motor doesn't turn. If it runs you set up the PLC. Please note that you have selected the correct telegram in the device view of your drive. The correct IP address and Profinet Name is also important to get a communication. The SINA_xxx blocks need the Hardware ID of the telegram you are communicating to your axis (e.g. HW ID of telegram 1 or 111). The HW ID is given automatically by the PLC when interconnecting the drive to the PLC in the network view.

And it is because I work with a s7-300 in a specific CPU 315-2DP. However I have not managed to use the SINA_XXX blocks.
