if you are using the same motors all time you could use different motor data sets (MDS) and just choose the corresponding data set depending on the amount of motors.

Another possibility could be to store different parameterizations on the memory card and load the corresponding one with help of p976/p977.
You can also store your motor parameters in an user-defined value list to import the predefined motor values as needed or using different STARTER projects and download them on demand.

If you don`t have fixed motors and the motor data are changing constantly I would recommend to use a script. You can create a script which does the motor commissioning and you just have to enter the new motor data.
