Do we need In S7400H Redundancy CP443 Because 6es7414-5hm06-0ab0 has Profinet

Vahid-T Posts: 54 Rating: (1)	Dear sir Jen_Moderator, in advanced really appreciate it for your reply.If i want to say very simple;in every S7400H we use 2CPU (E.g:2CPu4145h) and 2 CP443 .I was wondering to know ,in this CPU we have Profinet port ok?can we use just these 2 CPu in S7400H because every CPU has Profinet Port and we can connect every one to Switch .Do we remove Cp443 from our configuration?Basically what is differences between Profinet in CPU and CP443 Best Regards Vahid 2018.05.07

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 1/5/2026 Posts: 6892 Rating: (1368)	Dear user, Brief sharing of my thoughts, To see what services are supported by the integral PROFINET port and the CP-443 , you need to check their technical data.See the attached file as a sample.I am not sure if it is possible to assign all communication tasks such as PG operation,communication to decentralized I/O,Modbus TCP ,safety-related communications and HMI communication on the integral port but it is wiser to use different communication processors for more important cases.It is based on your project requirement and safety standards.
