Hello ToFast,
the FB MB_REDCL applies the addressing of the Modbus specification. And that specification only describes the data link layer.
How other systems - even simulators - construct an application layer is not part of the Modbus specification. Usually address 40001 of the application layer is transferred to function code 3 and offset 0. Some simulation programs offer a feature to edit the "offset". So there can't be a general answer how the two types of addressing are related.
