WinCC redundancy

cykee Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Hi, Is there anywhere to duplicate the changes without using "project duplicator"? Anywhere to remains on-line (at least one server) when changes had been made? For example, when new picture.pdl or additional external tags are added, I usually changed them on the Master server, then do a "Server Data" in WinCCExplorer. swithed off WinCCExplorer, duplicate the changes using "WinCC->Tools-> Project Duplicator" while the Slave Server is also OFF-LINE. But by doing this, I've killed the beauty of Redundancy because both of the servers will be OFF-LINE at one time. cheers cykee

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, When you are ready with modifying one server you could, - copy the modified pictures through windows explorer to the partner (in runtime). - you can export the modified tags and import them in the partner. You can do this for every modified component as far as I can see now. with regards, ikkezelf

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	If you want to make changes without stopping the servers you should use the Load Online Changes Editor. You will need a third computer that acts as your Engineering Station where you make all your changes and then Download the changes to the running servers one at a time. This method is detailed in the WinCC manual if you need more info. I hope this helps, Salma
