Dear all,

I think I've read all the faqs, all guides and contact support, but I still do not succeed to send mail and SMS with WinCC flex 2008. 

Summarazing.

What I have to do: send mail and SMS in case of alarm.

Hardware: IPC477C 6AV78842AH123BD0.

Development with: WinCC flex 2008 Sp.3 Upd3

There is someone that can help me, someone that have did this operation before?

Hi,

Not very easy the first time,  because of the provider so the problem is not the Wincc setting but the smtp server availability, firstly try to check if your provider allow the use of the port25 (or 465 in case of SSL), the better way is to use the smtp server of you're provider, and check if this port is open sometime you need to set this port in order to make it availlable.

In order to check if the port 25 has not been stuck by the provider, use the tellnet command on cmd, for example if you want to test the SMTP server of gmail using the port 25 the command is telnet smtp.gmail.com 25 and check if you can reach the server this is the basis.

Be careful in some window version the telnet command must firstly be activated on the panel control/ program and feature then go on the left and click on "turn on or off window feature" wait while the window is opening then tick on telnet the telnet function has been activated, now it's possible to use the telnet command from the cmd.

My advice leave the SMS and start with the mail once the mail sending is available i'll give you a trick that i have never test  in order to convert email to SMS, but the basis is the mail sending.
