Fatal device error on MobilePanel277FIWLAN V2 on application downloading

emidio Member Joined: 12/12/2016 Last visit: 10/16/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm trying to download my application by using of Wincc Felxible 2008 SP3 Upd7 into the MobilePanel277FIWLAN V2 (645-0EC02-0AX1). When I transfer the application the system ask my if I want to update the panel OS, I choose yes and then I transfer the application. After that I tried to configure the WLAN on the panel but when I go to "WLAN V2 config" to perform the wizard->basic I got "fatal error device" as Country code so I cannot change the country anymore, so the configuration seems to be corrupted by the OS update. I tried to restore the old image, kept before the OS update form the panel, and now the panel is ok again but if I try to download the application it ask me again to update the OS and then I have the same "fatal device error". I 'm using version 1.4.0 in Flexible and I tried also to use the older version 1.0.0 but in that case I could not compile and transfer the project because I was not allow by WinCC to press the toolbar buttons. Moreover I have other two panels version 645-0EC01-0AX1 (not EU) and with these panels I didn't have any problem. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

emidio Member Joined: 12/12/2016 Last visit: 10/16/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I solved by installing the image file "Mobile_Panel_277F_W2_V1_0_3_8.zip" to the panel from the link below: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109746331/images-for-mobile-panel-277(f)-iwlan?dti=0&lc=en-WW The panel was equipped with another image file "Mobile_Panel_277F_W2_V12_0_1_10.zip" that has to be used when you want to program it with TIA Portal. That was the error.

I am using Step7 v5.6 in combination with WinCC flexible 2008 SP5. After connecting the cable to the internal RJ45 connector I was able to downgrade to v1.0.3.8 OS. However, I can't download the project since WinCC indicates that the OS is not compatible with the project software. After performing an OS upgrade (v1.5.0.0), same result.. 'Fatal Device Error’ at ‘Country Code’ and impossible to reconfigure anything and no WiFi. It seems to me that the WiFi card firmware which comes with the image v1.5.0.0 is incompatible with the hardware..(6AV6 645-0EB01-0AX1). Is there anyone out there experiencing the same problems? Or can someone tell me if the Mobile panel is not compatible (6AV6 645-0EB01-0AX1) with the latest step7 version? Or is there an image for this panel I can download which is compatible? Thanks in advance for any response.

AlexV00700 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Remco, did you find a solution at the end? I've got the same problem. WinCC demands update to v1.5.0.0. When I do that, the iWLAN module has a Fata device error. When i downgrade to v1.0.3.8, I get it back all working, but are not able to download my project as WinCC demands an upgrade. HELP!!!
