I am trying to set the time using the ntp commands but it doesn't seem to work.
The time stay's the same as before (so wrong).
I also tried changing one of the servers to nl.pool.ntp.org but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Is there some kind of logfile where I can see what's going wrong here? Or does anyone have an idea what might be the problem?

There is an option to force the hwclock to not be in UTC after rebooting. For that, you have to modify the file /etc/default/rcS. There is a line where it says "Assume that the BIOS clock is set to UTC time (recommended)", by default it appears UTC=yes, you have to force to UTC=no.

I do not know if it is the best solution, but it works!

Anyone have any luck getting the NTP issue resolved? I have done the following:

1. Change the /etc/ntp.conf file  to:

2. Set UTC=no in the /etc/defaults/rcS.d file

3. Ran the ntpd -q -g and hwclock --systohc commands. 

 But every time I reboot, the time shows up as UTC.

I am able to modify my timezone but would like to synch to a NTP server.
