Hi all,

I have a problem I hope you can assist me with. I have the configuration as shown in the attachment, and I want to trigger a stop only when the PN/IE station is missing/ has a fault. If the profibus station is missing then I do not want to trigger a stop. The point of this is so that if I/O modules locally or distributed fail, then the CPU should stop. The profibus is only for remote control, and should not cause a stop if it is not connected.

OB86 seems to prevent stop if any of the connections are missing, including the ET 200 in the picture. 

Any suggestions are very welcome.

you can use the STP command to stop the PLC if the error is on the PN/IE.(inside the OB86)

I did some google'ing for "STP command" and found a reference to SFC46. 

The help file for SFC46 was very thin, do you have any further information on how to use it?

Do you mean to use the "OB86_RACKS_FLTD[0]", "OB86_RACKS_FLTD[1]" etc as conditions to call the SFC?

If so, how do I identify which of the "OB86_RACKS_FLTD[X]" is the PN/IE and which is profibus?

read the online help for ob86.

the ob86 have startinformation with which you can identifiy the component which cause the errro and then if is central orprofinet i/O you can call the STP.
