I need help from experts because my mind is stacked!

All i want is outputs behavior according to following truth table:

Inputs are I1 and I2, outputs are Q1, Q2

I1, I2 are direction buttons and Q1,Q2 are outputs for left-right motor direction control.

I want to implement a kind of debounce filter for input buttons.

Q1= NOT Q2 (because as motor direction not allowed goes different directions at same time)

When I1 = High, Q1 is high as long as I1 remains high.

Also if I2 = High, Q2 = High as long as I2 remains high

If I1 goes from high to low and then high again into 5 seconds, Q1 goes to high but now a counter counts 1 fault.

The same is for I2 as well.

Now  if I1 = High and then goes low and I2 becomes High into 5 seconds, Q2 =High but now fault counter counts 2 faults.

Finally, if we have one of the above conditions again, the counter fault goes to 3 and stops both outputs for 3 minutes (optional with a warning msg).

My mind is stuck so please help

Thank you very much with your reply. I 've studied a little and i noticed that it works perfectly with I1 input but not with the I2 (The timer didn't triggered at all).

I will studied it though as a good reference.

I was wondering why you take I1 as a trigger again ...

But that was your statement. I assume that you mean I2 as a trigger for this case.

If possible, please do the appropriate change for I2 too, i will appreciate it!
