S7-1500 Module State Error

DaLuckIsRothman Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	A S7-1500 CPU at my workplace is showing Module State: Error and Subordinate State : Error. It also show X1 Profinet-Schnittstelle.. all of this error state are shown in the CPU Display. Does this mean that this CPU need to be replaced? If not, then how can I correct this fault. Network view is like the image attached, Highlighted from the CPU S7-1500, it say "OK, difference in lower-level component." I'm running out of option, I will replace the CPU with a new one. Even an hour is critical when you're working in a production. Any experts out there that know how to correct this fault without replacing for a new CPU? You already see the text "Error in lower level component", and this means there is a profinet station that has an error in the network.

DaLuckIsRothman Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I've rectified the problem, the reason that I wasn't able to ping X1 was because the monitoring PC and HMI Units are connected through X2. X1 are reserved for drives and encoder. That is why pinging X1 end up in failure. Now the system is running again. Attachment WhatsApp Image 2018-09-29 at 10.53.52 AM.jpeg (424 Downloads)

0_Einstein Grandmaster Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 1/14/2026 Posts: 16365 Rating: (2522)	If you change the subnet mask for the device connected on X2 and the PLC is allowing ping traffic to route through x2 -> x1, you can ping devices on x1. I do not think ping is a good diagnostic tool for a running system with multiple subnets. TIA Portal diagnostics available right on that display is a great tool that requires no PC to find out what is wrong.
