Communication between ControlLogix and S7300

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello canrol; Another option would be to setup a Profibus-DP interface in the Controllogix rack (a SST_CLX_PFB_RLL from Woodhead or a MVI56-PDPMV1 from Prosoft technologies) and use a Master/slave exchange with the S7 integratedDP interface. If you can live with 244 bytes IN and 244 bytes OUT per exchange, that would be a very quick and exsy way to go. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	IF you are good at ethernet communication It should also be possible to use TCP/IP or UDP socket communication over ethernet. On siemens side evenCP343-1 Lean supports this but on AB code you need E-WEB module. Sorry, I do not have a sample program.
