For starters, each automation equipment that Siemens Industry delivers to your site has  warranty information included in the shipping box, so you could look there to begin with.

The information in the warranty papers is quite in line with these guidelines from Siemens Canada:

Q- What’s the warranty period on products purchased from Siemens Canada?

A- Unless you’ve other special agreement, the warranty on a new product is 12 months from the date of installation or 18 months from the shipping date from Siemens to the purchaser, whichever occurs at first.  Here is the link to Terms and Conditions:

Note that other warranty periods can be negociated with Siemens, or proposed with specific equipment: Industrial PC controllers and Scalance switches come with a basic 36 month warranty. You can also sign on to an extended warranty for other products under certain conditions; check with your regional Siemens rep.
