analog values in Wincc

hanjorre Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	hello, i have two analog values who measure the same processvalue. one analog signal is connected to a normal analog input card (6ES7-331-7KF02-xxxx). the other one is connected to a fail-safe analog input card (6ES7-336-1HE00-xxxx). the measured value is the same (4.02mA) but on the WinCC screen of PCS7 we have two different values. this on the normal input card has a value of 30mbar and the other one give a value of 300mbar. the range of this twoitems is -1000mbar (-1bar) to +70000mbar (70bar). why is it possible that we get two different value on the screen for the same procesvalue? is this a hardware or a software problem?

Hi Most Probably issue may be in Software . What about the Raw Counts for both the Analogue inputs, are you getting same counts ? If you are able to read same Raw Counts from both AI then the issue is in Software. Check the Properties of I/O field in WinCC Screens Check the properties of AI Tag in WinCC Tag Management (Scaling etc)

WinCC display value from PLC database (usually MEAS_MON), where you get different measure? If you have same ON LINE value in PLC you have to check your WinCC configuration or object properties in editor page. If you receive differentON LINE value in PLC have to check CH_AI configuration. Question: are you sure of right HW configuration of your AI card (righ position A/B/C/D of the terminal AI card) and are you sure you measure same 4-20mA for both cards? Regards

hanjorre Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	hello, when we go online in STEP7 hw-configuration monitor/modify we get different values. i have to check the confuration of both cards but i think the normale card is passive current (D) and the fail-safe card active current (C). both pressure transmiters are the same (normal passive components). the pressure transmitter on the fail-safe card get his power on pin 23 of the connector. that is the reason why the fail-safe card is active. could this be the reason of the different values??? if you don't understand the connection of both sensors i put the diagrams thuesday evening on this forum. greeting hanjorre

Lets me do example: are you using CFC to read value from field, you can see engineering value from CH_AI & F_CH_AI block. are this value same? IfYES problem will be in WinCC part. IfNO has to be configuration card or wiring. You has to be sure about HW configuration ( i don't see attachment in previuos post). If value are different between CH_AI normal and safe need check the HW configuration and check mA for both card
