4-20 mA loops are difficult to understand. Normally a 4-20 mA signal represents the measured value. i.e. a 0-100 bar signal will show 4 mA at 0 bar and 20 mA at 100 bar. see for calculation example 4-20mA calculator This means often scaling the value in the PLC. How this exacly works is depending on the used input module. My recomendation is to test it. You can use a current loop tester to test your PLC progam on the bench.
