What about a serial cable for communication from Logo to PC (via serial COM port, not USB).

Is this RS232? Maybe it would work through this path?

In the past we had a cable to program the logo 0BA6 or earlier. The pc side of the cable was RS232, but the Logo side has a special Siemens connector with his own signals. The newer USB cable for 0BA6 has the same function and the communication is also done with COM1...4. The USB cable has an internal RS232 adapter.

So far you can program the Logo 0BA6 with both versions, but the programming is only done with Logosoft comfort and only for the Logo CPU, not for other components like displays and so on.

It also exist some programs in the internet to get status of the Logo inputs, outputs, marks and so on without using the Siemens Logosoft comfort. They are written from some users to get an additional user interface on the PC.

I never heard something to connect such display in your link.

No, the first Logo you can connect to other HMI is the 0BA7, which has a LAN connector. The OP3 with RS232 can be connected e.g. to a S7-200.

If you want to use other displays, then buy a new Logo8.2 FS1. You can connect the new TDE or other Siemens displays with LAN connector. You can also connect other displays, which works with the S7 or Modbus protocol.
