Paresh Posts: 116 Rating: (1)	hi, I am looking for the register details of S7-300 PLC's. The detais of registers like MW, IW, QW. I want to know maximum range of register as per CPU as I am using two different CPU's for testing. CPU 314 and CPU 315-2-DP. I also want to know the number of register I can read or write in one cycle. Please help me in this regards Paresh

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	Paresh, There is no limit on how many times/how many registers you can read and write to in an program cycle. It is only limited by your programsize and scan cycle time.

Paresh Posts: 116 Rating: (1)	Hi, according to my observations, after sending connection request and flow control frame, Active station sends PDU size request to passive station and it replies with PDU size available in passive station. On this PDU size data transfer in one cycle depends. Please correct me if I am wrong. Regards Paresh

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	I should have read your question twice. Now, I think you are talking about accessing data of a remote PLC and I was talking about self. Sorry Paresh... If this is what you alooking for,you are right. The amount of data depends on many things like type of connection, type of blocks used, type of CPU used etc. Please give more details like what kind of connection you want to use, are you using any CPs or just communciate over MPI.

MPI does not support any 3rd party protocol. May be what you meant is you are trying to develop adriver MPI on your own for a PC or a device. It will help to solve your problem if you tell us what exactly you are trying to do in detail. If you are trying to develop MPI driver, then I thinkMPI is not an open protocoland you need to buy a license from Siemens to develop that. (May be someone from Siemens can clarify this).
