What are the best practices for remote connection to an OPC via DCOM?

Richard Westcott Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I am trying to remotely connect to a Siemens Simatic OPC using the Aspentech application CIM-IO for OPC (which acts as a client), we believe we have no issues with DCOM and windows security however the client does not recognize the server, is it necessary to have the OPC server name identified in the registry keys? Any other tips on remote connection and DCOM configuration would be gratefully appreciated as well. Regards Richard
