CP 341 not showing any indication i.e. SF, trans, rec signal

007 Posts: 34 Rating: (0)	Dear Forum, CPU is 6es7-315-2dp and CP 341 is 63s7 341-1ch01-0ae0. Redundancy(2 CPUs)is also done. I had downloaded Modbus master driver in CP 341 and Slave is Flow meters (3). Parameters are: start bit-8, stop bit-1,parity-even and baud rate-9600. Before 6-7 months, all are working well. Now client facing problemsi.e. CP 341 is not showing any indication on CP 341 LED. On CPU, there is no SF or BF indications. When Power is switched ON, all LED glows on CP 341. I hadinstructed the following to client through telephonic but the problem is not solved....... -> Change the CPU mode from STOP to RUN. -> Switch OFF the power supply then ON again. Plz. give its solution and reason why this happen. With Regards, Rajesh

007 Posts: 34 Rating: (0)	Hi Darius, No, I have not checked the diagnostic buffer of CPU and CP 341 because I talked with clients on telephone only. Please tell me the reason how does it happen after 6-7 months and solutions also. Regards, Rajesh

Maybe this CP is located in the aggresive enviroment or smth? I don't want to say that it is broken and it is more hard to diagnose problem having not much information. I think it will be best if you could somehow read diagnostic buffer. Here you can find some clues. Now we know that led do not light and we can only guest what happened.

KayBee Posts: 241 Rating: (7)	Hi 007, I would suggest to look into dignostics and as well as to monitor(online) the SEND/RECEIVE call blocks.I am (some how confident) sure the send/receive block is giving some error/statusvalue and you can find what it mean.It looks to me that sending and receiving both are stopped(No data tx/rx).This is possibel.Some times the the send/recive call depends on such memory address that can be the source of problem.Lets say you call SEND block when m0.0 is ON and this time Receive block not called(it has previous done bit after this youcalled send block/ or you called same block,only ON for 1-scan) and you called RECEIVE block when m1.0 is ON( it has previos done bit high after this you called receive block/or you called again same block).How send receive can stop - --when both are high(m0.0 and m1.0) --when both are low(m0.0 and m1.0) -when SEND/RECEIVE not giving any done bit/look into other like Status value for next diagnostics. --look into CPU diagnostics for additional help.
