All, please reply ONLY if you have a W7pro Sp1 64bit installation that communicates without problems with the USB port on the IOT2000/2020/2040 and can point me to the source of your driver.

I believe I tried all available solutions and still can't get it working! When plugged in installs as a "CDC Serial" under "Other Devices" and if I "Update Driver Software..." then Browse my computer for the driver software won't even see the the linux-cdc-acm.inf file I have.

Search online won't find anything either. I mean please read

for someone else's similar problem where intel won't help since it is an IOT board not a Galileo board!

The IOT2040 I have here is fine because it communicates on USB without issue with a W10 machine - W10 installed the IOT as a serial device without the use of any external drivers!

Hey Thanks - it works.  There was a small detail I was missing! Also suggest he exact steps need to be a little better defined as in:

Go to the Device manager (Start > right click on Computer > Manage > Device Manager).Then right click on CDC Serial > Update Driver Software > Browse my computer for driver software > DO NOT CHOSE THE FILE AT THIS STEP but go for the next option: Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > Show all devices > select nothing and press NEXT  > Have disk > Browse > select the folder in which you unpacked the files > choose "linux-cdc-acm.inf" > click Open > OK > Next > Yes (Accept all warnings for not unsigned driver etc)
