How to connect to Internet using LTE USB Stick

mikel.garmendia Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hello! I want to connect my IOT2040 (with example-v2.2.0.wic image) to Internet using a LTE USB Stick (Huawei E3372) with a SIM card. I have been reading documentation in "Overview tested WIFI USB Sticks / mPCIe WIFI/2G/3G/4G cards" topic and I have seen that some people have managed to connect to Internet with some similar sticks from Huawei. I'm trying with multiple configurations, but I can´t get to connect. I think that it reads my LTE stick as Storage device, because when I rundmesg \| grep HUAWEIit appears Mass Storage and TF CARD Storage. I have tried to build an image of the master branch, but it appears to me an error: /root/build$ /root/poky/bitbake/bin/bitbake -k -c build iot2000-example-image ERROR: Unable to start bitbake server Can you upload this example-image in .wic format to https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109741799 please? But, with this image too, I cannot solve my problem. I think that It appears the LTE Stick as a USB Mass Storage device. The LTE USB Stick is powered with a blue led, and this defines that the USB Stick is connected to a 3G+/LTE network. The output of lsusb for you shows this entry: Bus 001 Device 002: ID 12d1:1f01 This is your HUAWEI Stick. Make sure you use the bold ID in your config, so: TargetProductList="1f01" Then call usb_modeswitch -v 12d1 -p 1f01 -c /etc/usb_modeswitch.conf Kind regards!
