Calculate total flow rate in M3

Sabu80 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I need some help to calculate the total flow rate in M3(1000 Litre) I have a 4-20mA flow sensor: 4mA = 0 M3 20mA - 80 M3 Basically i want to count the total flow rate run through the flow sensor. Because the flow rate is always different i can't figure out how to calculate the total flow produced. What if the total flow rate is at a maximum of 32767 M3? How to prevent this (posible) futere problem? The logo can only count to 32767 if i am right. Thanks for the support

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 1/18/2026 Posts: 36482 Rating: (4552)	To calculate a total flow rate with a current flow value, the LOGO! not really possible. Better would be a pulse count, where the pulse corresponds to a certain amount. With the current flow value you can only make approximation values. Attached is a suggestion. Sabu80 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thank you very much, that's exactly what i want. There is als a digital pulse for taking samples after ..m3. I just have use the 4-20mA signal because i have set a low and high flow rate alarm.
