Dear Guys,

Hope you can help me with my problem on our system with regards to the time stamp of the alarm. It just suddenly changes the time stamp of  the alarms coming in. The time stamp I seeing on the alarm is the same time as the module time of the PLC.

I tried to change the PLC module time setting to accept the PG/PC time to the module. But its not working. When I click apply the time on the module change same time with the PG/PC but after a few second it goes back to original date and time.

Please help me know why is this behaving like this it suppose to change the module time same with the Pg/PC but the module goes back to original time.

Our PLC are CPU 417 redudnant.

Hope you guys can give some idea how to resolve it.

I will try the info you gave me.

Just additional info on our system. We have a multiproject with two AS Sation. AS1 and AS2. AS1 is CPU 417 redundant CPU and communicating thru CP 443-1. AS2 is CPU410-5h and communicating thru PN port. AS1 is configure as slave in time while AS2 configure as Master with 24h interval.

Do I have to change the configuration of AS2 to slave in order for it work? Another thing the worries me is why it suddenly change it was okay before? maybe you have any idea?

Lastly, is there a way I can change the date and time of the module?

Dear PCS 7, 

if you take the module time from PG/PC, then it should be coming from other time master like OS or GPS clock. 

This is sample configuration taking the time from PG/PC.
