Hi 

I have attached a small video to explain how to edit the block icon ( customized object) and access it's inner objects.

i hope this helps.

Note: Beware that it's not advised to modify the standard block icons. they may get replaced on next OS compile, or upgrade process, and your changes will be lost.

 Yes, once you change the block icon in PCS7TypicalsAPLV8, and compile OS / update block icons, the block icon in the process picture will be replaced with the new icon from PCS7TypicalsAPLV8.

so you have changed MotS block icon type one in PCS7TypicalsAPLV8. 

I believe it should work now. do you have the same block icon in Process picture also ?

did you create the error ? what is displayed when the block is in error ??

if possible attach the process PDL so that i can have a look

Presently I'm similarly facing the similar issue for all sorts of Digital Monitoring, Motor Icons, etc. for PCS7 V9.0 SP1. Now I've got help on the above mentioned posts but feeling some sort of fear that what will affect to the other block icons if I change the color in the Digital Monitoring & Motor icons.

Kindly guide me!

Hello OMKRIS2017,

PCS 7 offers two possibilities to change the block icon.

1. You can change only one instance specific block icon.
2. Or you can change all block icons from a type.
   In this case, it makes sense to define a new block icon type. In the FAQ you can find a detailed description how do you create your own block icons with SIMATIC PCS 7.
