Copy AS project on a ES project

antonio_dvt Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a problem, when i copy an AS project into a project of the ES, i need to complie to add the screens as a part of one unit, but i already have a screen that has been edited before. When i compile the PCS7 generate a new screenwith the objects.How can ipreserve my edited screen?

You should save your PDL's, then OS compile, copy the PDL's and one more OS compile. Now your icons should not get disturbed. Other way is, put some "dummy" screens in PH and OS compile. Regards

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 10/3/2025 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi antonio_dvt, not sure to understand your trouble are you talking about single project or multiproject, do you have OS station in same AS project or in different one, do you already have OS station in destination ES project? When screen has been created into plant hierarchy and you copy project into other one you'll copy entire screens too. So..you doesn't loose the screen. In new project need setup again plant hierarchy in Simatich Manager (and Overview button appearence) but you don't loose anything!!!. Yes you need recompile OS to see your (copyed) screen into new Es project (same AS screen you already edited). Could you post the exactly operation you did to merge project? Could you explain if ES project is new empty project..or existing project with OS station inside? Regards
