calculate total set time

I need to be able to calculate total set time for one process (and compare the total time set value if it equals to certain value). Example, i will be having four timers in the program (each timer i will be setting for example, 5 hours, 6 hours, 9 hours & 4 hours. I need sum all & compare the total set duration in order to make sure that the total set duration does not exceed 48 hours. Each stage of the process is expected to run for the specified duration.
