Need suggestion on complex situation

Suppose I have central building and WinCC computer here. I have water tower 40m heightnear this building. There is no problem to put cable from this tower's top to central computer with WinCC, but the most complex in this situation is the fact that I need receive data from one station which is 7km from tower and I have lots of trees covering clear sight of view. What do you suggest? Cabling 7km isn't option for me and GSM also isn't an option (big amounts of data - expensive sollution). So I there some chances to do it with WiFi, is there some devices or I need to consider other sollution than WiFi? Thanks for your thoughts.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Darius, just to add one point. I know that there are, in some points possible Radio solutions available, without the use of Wireless LAN. It mostly depends on the nature of the distance between the two points. If you have a mountain or a hill in between you may have to think about it. If you have a clear line of sight I think a radio Solution should be possible. In this point you have to investigate local regulations about useable Radio frequencies and regulations... but I think your local Siemens representative will be able to get you in touch with networking specialists about it. Personally I would not recommend the use of WLAN, this system is too weak for such long distances. Best regards J_Bell
