Randall1978 Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi, Can somebody explain to me why, if i use a Mathematical instruction block when programming a LOGO 8 the maximum value for V1, V2, V3 or V4 is 65535. I am trying to monitor a production lines total units remaining by imputing the job amount and subtracting a count amount from that to give me units remaining, but i can't have a starting total of more that 65535 units. Why is this.

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 1/11/2026 Posts: 36433 Rating: (4547)	For mathematical functions, the value range of the LOGO! is from -32,768 to 32,767, because the LOGO! only can Integer. Manually, no value greater than 32,767 can be entered in parameters V1 to V4. For references of other blocks such as e.g. from a forward / backward counter whose value is greater than 32,767, the value is automatically limited to max. 32,767.
