TP-timer is triggered by an positive edge on the IN-Parameter.

Have you checked this signal?

Try inserting a NC contact in front of the IN to the TP so it cannot start a new pulse while it is currently creating one.

Something like this..

I am trying to use a simple TP timer to activate two outputs, but for some reason when the timer is activated it counts up but never reaches the set time which is 2 seconds, it counts up to 1.6s then resets then counts again and continues to do this in a loop. Iv tried changing the DB number to 400 as iv had problems in the past with addresses over lapping and causing problems. However this makes no difference on this occasion. Iv attached an image of the line of logic.

I should also add when i run the simulation it works as its supposed to when i simulate the input but just goes into a loop on the actual plc. Iv used lots of TP timers elsewhere in the program and they all work fine. I am using Tia Portal v14,

Anyone any idea whats going on?
