How to run an Eclipse project at startup?

AutoGen_5767719 Regular Member Joined: 4/17/2019 Last visit: 11/10/2025 Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	I want to add a python script (.py) to autostart. I tried your solutions but It didn't worked. Actually nothing happend. Does it matter in which directory the file is lying? Is there a way to show occuring errors or something to find out where the problem is?

I programmed a python program where I work MQTT and use the IOT2040 as a broker. So I want to run my Pyhton-Program permanently to subscribe and receive the messages. I was able to add my Program to Autostart but my problem is then that I can't connect to the IoT2040 over PuTTY anymore. That's why I ask to run a program in Background.

bergmanu Platinum Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 4/24/2025 Posts: 3345 Rating: (382)	You have to add & behind your python script in the autostart file. For example: #! /bin/sh python3 /home/pythonscript.py & exit 0 That should solve you problem. Best regards!
