Hello All,

One of our customers is ahving 400 PLC system and they have a regulating valve :-

ASCO 099257-001-D RED-HAT Solenoid Valve Coil 120V-AC D652233)

Now this valve have Input as 4-20mA and output also 4-20mA.

IS it possible to control analog inputs and outputs from Digital inputs and outputs in this situation as the customer doesnt want tochange hardware configuration.

Is there any converter(ADC or DAC digital to anlaog / Analog to digital) required or directly we can do???

first idea (but not expected in your HW) is if your CPU has somewhere pulse outputs. In this case you can maybe generate 0-10V (or other value as test) which can be easy via some cheap converter change to 4-20mA f.ex. Maybe I expect not easy solved in case of not changed existing HW...

The input are 8 bit and the output is 4..20 mA.

For the analog-digital conversion is it not so easy.

convert a analog signal to a PWM-signal.
Maybe can you use this.
