What do i need for function S7-300 343-1Lean to PC via OPC...

HansJ Posts: 32 Rating: (1)	Hi Having an S7-300 (317)with CP343-1 Lean and like to have connection trough OPC to an PC-station, the PC includes an program for weigth and batching. Is it enogh to have simatic net in the PC or do the step7 need to be installed.

However, it is not possible to use this software to edit the S7 blocks in the STEP 7 project.In your case if you need to edit S7 blocks must order Step7. About OPC server: how do you configure an S7 connection for a user application via Industrial Ethernet with the SIMATIC NET PC software? regards

HansJ Posts: 32 Rating: (1)	Hi Change Step 7 code is not intended to be done from the PC-Station. S300 will control valves and send parameters to the PC-station for weigth and the progam for the weigth function will report back to S300. The station will only mange the weigth program and make reports and so on. So as i understand it will be enough with Simatic net on the PC for creating the OPC and if i chose all i will have all the symbols from the S7-300.
