(In the past I have used this download feature when using my Step7/WinCC machine as an Engineering Station with two redundant WinCC servers.) You are correct you do not need this. Please feel free to try without adding a PC Station for PC1.

This option prevents you for download an OS project. The used default permissions are not enough with this simple file share. Please remove/disable this option as a general setting.
