You did not mention how is seize for drive (such 2x25A) , let's say you use 2x25A, 

Normally you need use 2 single 25A drive , for control card you  need use 2 OF 6SN1118-0DJ23-0AA0 --THE SAME level of 0DK23 but single axis

Off course you can use 2 of 2x25A drives and 2 of 0DK23 control cards but that will waste resource

--drive configure need to change --let's talk normally and old double drive is at position 3 +4, old config--  showing 3L--25A and 3R 25A, you need to delete it and insert new drive pos. 3 25A and pos.4 25A--

you will see in the drive configuration --I just give you simply 

PLC normally no need to change, --I cannot image when you have problem --post then will think

BTW--back up all NC PLC before you change.

I have a machine that operates on SINUMERIK 840d pl system with NCU part number(6FC5 357-0BB14-0AA0). This machine have a double axis 611d  drive unit with adjusting module part numbers(6SN11 18-0DK23-0AA0 ).

I want to replace this double module unit with 2 separate single module units that I have in my work shop. I ask from the programming perspective What I need to change in machine or drive parameters to do so.

 You don't mention or post drive system /encoder feedback --you idea is possible if your axis DID NOT use 2nd encoders

I make search in my machine configuration and I found the configuration in machine data-drive configuration.

here I want to replace the old adjusting module for dual drive unit ( 6SN11 18-0DK23-0AA0 ) with 2 of single drive units of number (6SN 1118-0DM31-0AA0), Is it applicable.

I already have second measuring system in my machine, The double axis unit is defected , and Iam ready to cancel this encoder to operate the new drive.

The question is what is the required machine parameters to modify it. Knowing that a already have an archive of my this machine.

 That page is not so much useful for me, Can you post the picture of the drive/control card which you want to replace ( I need to see the change before). More important to see you have 1 encoder or 2 encoders

OK, If you can cancel the 2nd measuring system (disabled it ) for left axis, then you can use the control card you mentioned (0DJ----)

Normally you need change NCMD and PLC interface signal . But some OEM give customer the simple way to disable 2nd encoder. such as setting some PLC data then re-boot machine 

as I know DMG is doing that way.
