Office PCs can access all the PCS data through this computer while it is not connected to the PCS network. It can be operated in different configurations: OpenPCS station without OS client. OpenPCS station with OS client. OpenPCS station on a single station. OpenPCS station on an OS server. Don't froget that a license is needed to operate the OpenPCS. On the other side, OPC scout isa software tool for browsingthe available OPC server locally or remotely. You can use it for testing, monitoring values. Good luck

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi umair, Open PCS7 is a PCS7 OPC server product (suite). Similarly WinCC is also an OPC server product. See the following manual for description of Open PCS7: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/36183293 On the other hand SIMATIC OPC Scout is an OPC client to connect to/test various OPC servers like Open PCS7 OPC server, WinCC OPC server or any other third party OPC server (for example Matrikon). Regards
