Yes, this is possible. You can just change the variables in CFC. Beware if you are using EMT or EPHT, the variables must be ignored to be able to write them in the CFC chart. Also, when an EPH controls an EM, the EM variables cannot be changed either.

The SFC is set to MANUAL, so the automatic commands like START/COMPLETE/ABORT etc. do not work. 

Put the SFC in auto by toggling AUT.

Take a look at the Compendium manual for SFC's. Link .It seems you have little experience with SFC types (which is not a problem ofcourse ). You should understand the concept of SFC. For example, if you create a setpoint, but the input value is outside the configured limits, then the SFC won't start and you get an error. If you have solved the problem, the SFC still won't start because PARAM variable is not set. PARAM will check CS+Setpoints if they are within limits... so what I mean to say, a simple problem could use up a lot of time .
