Dear all

We have implemented a multi-project in PCS7 V9.0 containing some PLC, server, ES and etc. The projects are as below:

PLC1

PLC2

ES

OS

Server

We have configured all wincc designs inside ES project, but when we wanted to download the project to redundant servers, we saw that the os that we worked on it in the ES project, is different than the os inside Server project and all we have done is nothing! We can still copy all pictures from ES to Server project, but I think there may be better ways to do this.

Is there any other ways to synchronize Server project with ES project automatically?

usually the project will be downloaded from the ES to the
OS (Server).
If you click with the right mouse-button on the WinCC-project
in the Simatic Manager, you get a context menue.
With "Object properties" you define the path to the target-OS
in the network.
With "PLC"/"Download" you can download the project from
the ES to the target-OS.

I do not understand your configuration.
An Engineering Station is a PC, which is used for
configuring PLCs and HMI-projects and loading then
the projects to the PLC or HMI-PC.

There is no big difference between PCS7 and WinCC in this case.

The ES themself has usually no own project, which should run on
the ES in runtime.

 This Es is configured as a single station os and all jobs are done inside this os. Now, we have a redundant server project that We want to copy the data from Es to this project and download it to servers. How is it possible to do this automatically?

the folders of the WinCC-projects are stored in the subfolder
"wincproj" in the folder of the Simatic Manager Project.
You can make a copy of the ES-project with the Windows-Explorer
to an other place on the harddrive.
Then go in the Simatic Manager on Menueitem "Options".
Here select "OS Import..." and import the copied ES-project as OS.
Then add a Simatic PC Station as "WinCC Appl. (Stby.)".
This can you configure as a Reference to the imported former
ES-project as OS.
In the properties of the project you can configure the Target-OS
and Master-OS.
Now you can load the both redundant OS-Servers with these projects
from the ES.

Then as I got from your answer, there is not any automatic way to update or synchronize these projects inside PCS 7. I should copy it manually and reconfigure the Server station.
