In 802D SL, to connect external linear scale as direct measuring system to axis, either ADI4 or SMC unit is needed. User must configure ADI4 module or appropriate SMC module along with Sinamics drive.

As per your attachment in the last step when configuration is pressed then encoder configuration effective option are coming.

The used second encoder in my case is 6FX2001-2CC50 (see attachment for encoder details).

So, my doubt is which bit to select & which to deselect. 

Second encoder is with SMC30.

Can u plz write about axis md data with internal encoder bypassed only external active. Also should I make any changes in drive md for 

One more doubt, should I write DB3802.DBX1.6 in PLC to set second encoder active?.Because in PLC of spindle axis only DB3802.DBX1.5 is written.

Split from Sinumerik 802Dsl Second encoder configuration through SMC30.

User can not bypass inetrnal i.e. motor encoder & active external encoder. Motor encoder is used for position as well as velocity feedback. Only external encoder can be bypassed & motor encoder can be set for position feedback.

Sir thank u for ur reply.I am not bypassing internal of linear axes (i.e x & z), I have bypassed spindle axis internal encoder (in this case simple turning is running but threading is not happening)  & my machine is working ok. But for threading I want to active only external encoder of Spindle. For this I have attached last step of encoder configuration about bit selection.

Plz suggest, I already let u know about encoder details & also smc30 in the previous post.

What type of spindle motor does your machine has?

Is spindle motor has encoder installed on it & configured in machine spindle axis data? Does your spindle has any BERO signal installed? While configuring encoder 2 which type you have selected?

 Spindle motor type no. is 1PH7101-2QF00-0BA0 

Yes spindle motor has external encoder installed also ( Details in previous post). 

Spindle axis md (When Motor encoder is in bypassed condition)

30200=1, 30240[0]=1, 30230[0]=1, 31020[0]=2500 (ppr of ext encoder), 31040=0, 32110=1

No BERO signal installed.

While configuring encoder 2 , I have selected "USER DEFINED" 9999.
