INS Gold Member Joined: 4/6/2006 Last visit: 11/21/2025 Posts: 604 Rating: (56)	Hello, For the component choice it's possible to create a Link between both WLAN Modules.You should use a WDS Connection here.But why don't you use a Scalance W788-1PRO and a Scalance W74x-1PRO? This is slightly cheaper and gives you the same connection possibility. To give you a real good advice more information about the area are necessary: - Whcih frequency can be used (Which freqeuncy is free)? - Is a Site Survey done? - Which country will it be installed (Regulations, Allowed Power) - What is the distance between the modules? - Is there a clear Line of sight between the modules? - Indoor or Outdoor? But besides the WLAN components how about your redundancy? it's gone at the first switch. If the power fails or the switch breaks down... I would recommend to use 2 Parallel WLAN systems here working on 2 different frequencies. For example 2two channels from which 1 in 2,4 and on in 5 GHz or maybe only 5 GHz with 2 different channels. Furthermore you have named the Remote Module ET200PRO, is this a ET200PRO without CPU or with CPU? This is important because without a CPU you need ProfiNEt IO which isn't support in a s7-400H system at this moment. Then you will need to install the CPU Module to get an S7 Connection working.
