Please share the configuration done in the tia for cm 1242-5 using as a slave and honeywell profibus gate way (8c-ip0102) as master as we are facing some issue regarding configuration

thanks for your answer it was quite helpful

the settings done are as below

"Assigned DP master" to "not assigned"

node address as 11 for slave and Honeywell gate way as 2 (Master)

now we are getting a new problem of data limit to 240 bytes which is as below

1.I have tried to connect 2 slave PLC'S (s7-1200) to the master with 240 bytes each and the result is :

MY 1st and 2nd  PLC gets an I/O access error

2. IF i split the data as 120 bytes for each plc's then it works fine but we  need to communicate the total 240 bytes of each plc

IS there any solution ??

Normally each slave on a Profibus network is allowed exchanging 244 bytes OUT and 244 bytes IN with the master it is configured with. These limits are independent on the number and data exchange size of other slaves on the bus. So this situation is very strange.

Could you post a Word or pdf file with the following screenshots:

- the master configuration with 2 CM 1252-5 slaves, with their internal data exchange modules.

- the configuration of both CM 1242-5 as slaves, with Profibus address and data exchange ,modules?

- any error messages you get in your configuration, in Step^7 or in the master's configuration software.
