can i use SWAREX With Tia Portal With out use Siwatool , i have project on Tia i used with that load cell , i Can use SWAREX 231 To Take value from Load cell but with out use Siwatool 

iam using cpu 12001214 dc/dc/dc and SIWAREX WP231.

and TIA Portal 15.1.

Hello mraheem,

Yes, you can work without the Siwatool software. You have full parameter-access from the PLC to the WP231.

But to work with Siwatool has the following advantages:

- you are independent from your S7-program

- you can take a look directly into the WP231 module what’s going on inside the module

- after the commissioning, you can create a backup-file of the parameter-settings for your office

- when there are issues on site with the WP231, I can help you quite faster with the Siwatool-Software, as to work with the Instance-DB or the HMI-panel.
