120202 error reset has not worked please help

Fred1062 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	We are running a Sinumerik 810D which needed resetting. Having followed instructions we are at a position where it looks reset. Lights PF Green - Flashing, PS Red - On, PF Red - Off, PFO Yellow - Off. (Image Attached) But we don't seem to be able to communicate with it! Initial Error message - 120202 - wait for connection to NC/PLC and if I run the first part of boot up procedure message no communication to NC. Cables have been checked. Any ideas appreciated! PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	Hello, From the attached snap. 7segment LED displays 6 which means NC booting is successful. But SF LED glow RED which indicates system fault. So check by clearing NC & PLC correctly & see system should boot without any error/fault. BTW please check profibus address set on MCP, profibus terminating resistors position & other hardware items connected. HTH

Fred1062 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thank you for the response it is very much appreciated We have Run The NC & PCL Clear Procedure a number of time but still do not get the solid green light only a flashing one only. still get the same led in the picture above. please could you explain this in a bit more detail as i am new at this BTW please check profibus address set on MCP, profibus terminating resistors position & other hardware items connected regards Fred

PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	Hello, Since SF LED is RED, it indicates BUS fault. Hence I suggest you to check MCP & other components address. You need to refer documents submitted by OEM & check DIP switches e.g. on MCP etc. etc. Moreover please check 611D drive LED status. You can disconnect data/bus cable which is between CCU & 611D drive one by one & switch ON power. Check if SF LED on 7 segment display lits or is OFF. A faulty drive could also trigger SF fault. Please refer this link which will display FAQs on 120202 error, may help you to understand more. HTH
