S7 DB connect to DPDP coupler

colinplym Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Can any one explain how a dpdp coupler knows which db in S7 to get/send its info. I see in the coupler that I have addresses but cant seem to find a connection with the DB. Thanks

umencho Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 1/10/2026 Posts: 10247 Rating: (1183)	Hello Look at DP/DP Coupler manual in chapter 4. You will see how to assign I/O areas of the DP master. With profibus address you reach this I/O area. Later in your program you can transfer each PIW to correspond DB (using SFC20 BLKMOV), and also use one DB and send to PQW. Hope this help you. regards
