You know that the SFC type has two operating modes. One is MANUAL, where you control the SFC type via the buttons on its faceplate. Those buttons are linked to the INTxxxxxx bits in the instance DB of the SFC type. The other one is AUTO mode, where you control the SFC type via interconnection to the START, STOP, ABORT, ... inputs of the blocks in CFC chart (or SIMATIC BATCH). samkcr Hi Everyone, I want to know what is the use of the below internal commands(all commands).... samkcr Posts: 406 Rating: (3)	Hi Greenfir3 Thanks for the reply Yes of course the behavior should be same as like buttons on faceplates and the pins on the block. I am particularly looking for the use case, If I want to use this commands inside the SFC Logic I have used the commands as well... Ex. Manual Mode - I used the INTHold command in a step(RUN Seq)... @ the Step Active automatically it moves to the Hold sequence. In the END of the hold sequence, I have used INTResume command. This Hold sequence is completed but still the RUN Sequence is waiting for resume. So I want to know Is it advisable to use these commands inside the sequence? If yes then I would like to know the usecase

Oreca Platinum Expert Joined: 3/14/2008 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 2233 Rating: (987)	Hi, The big difference is that INT commands are evaluated in Auto and Manual mode, regardless if the modes are enabled (ENRESUME, ENHOLD). Normally you use them inside steps like when a delay time has passed in the SFC, the next step would be INTHOLD to set the SFC to Holding-Held. PS: The commands HOLD, RESUME, ABORT etc. are only valid in Auto mode of the SFC.
