Hello.

Siemens has a huge range they sell.
Yours is not a general question.
It is specific to a subset of equipment.
I would guess it applies to CNC or alike devices.

Where did you come across the "contour monitoring" term?
It sounds like calibration of servo motors done while standing still
or while in motion executing a coordinated movement command.
